Frequently Asked Questions

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send the load capacity, lifting height, platform size, landing openings, destination country, and site photos or drawings.

Can the equipment be customized?

Yes. Configuration depends on the load, travel, available space, workflow, installation conditions and required safety features.

Which site details should be confirmed before engineering design?

Please share site photos or drawings, floor-to-floor heights, openings, pit or overhead clearance, load dimensions, power supply, workflow and destination-country requirements.

Can Hongli supply equipment for an existing factory or warehouse?

Yes. Retrofit and expansion projects can be reviewed. Final design depends on the load path, structure, access, pit or clearances and installation conditions, so drawings or a site survey are needed.

What documents are included with a quotation?

A quotation normally outlines the main dimensions, options and supply scope. For an approved project, the document package can include general arrangement or foundation drawings, hydraulic and electrical information, operation and maintenance guidance, and inspection documents as agreed.

How are safety and compliance requirements handled?

The design review covers guarding, gates, emergency stops, limit switches, hydraulic safety valves and applicable overload or anti-fall protection. Destination standards and acceptance requirements are confirmed before production.

Do you provide installation and after-sales support for overseas projects?

Our export team coordinates technical clarification, installation guidance, commissioning or training, and local arrangements when agreed. Responsibilities, spare parts and the response process are written into the project scope.

How do I choose the right load capacity for a hydraulic lift?

Calculate the maximum combined weight of the goods, pallets and any handling equipment carried on the platform. Provide the load dimensions, weight distribution, lifting height and operating frequency so the manufacturer can recommend a suitable rated capacity. Never exceed the rated load stated on the equipment.

What site preparation is needed before installing lifting equipment?

Confirm the available space, floor or foundation condition, access clearances and electrical supply against the approved installation drawings. Pit, anchoring and structural requirements vary by model. Installation and commissioning should be completed by qualified personnel following the manufacturer’s instructions.

How often should hydraulic lifting equipment be maintained?

Follow the maintenance schedule in the equipment manual, taking operating frequency and site conditions into account. Routine checks typically cover hydraulic leaks, oil condition, hoses, fasteners, moving parts and safety devices. Keep service records, and have qualified technicians complete maintenance after the equipment is safely isolated.

What safety checks should be made before using a lift platform?

Check for visible damage, leaks and obstructions, and verify that the controls and applicable safety devices operate as instructed in the manual. Keep the load stable and within the rated capacity, and keep people clear of moving parts. A goods-only lift must not be used to carry people. Stop use if any safety function is faulty.

What should I do if a hydraulic lift does not rise or makes an unusual noise?

Stop operation and keep people clear of the equipment. Without opening electrical panels or entering the mechanism, check the displayed fault information, load and accessible controls as directed by the manual. Record the model, symptoms and any error codes, then contact technical support. Do not bypass safety devices or work beneath an unsupported platform.
